Kira Butler from The Midnight Society recently posted her cemetery bucket list, which inspired me to create my own list in my commonplace book. My list is strictly American cemeteries (for now), because mama is broke.
Below is my list, which is always growing. Many were chosen because they are reportedly haunted (of course). Am I missing any must-see cemeteries? Let me know in the comments.

You need an even 40! Cypress Lawn in Colma, CA has a magnificent public mausoleum with a stained glass ceiling, something like 36,00 square feet of glass. Swan Point in Providence is the most beautiful cemetery I’ve ever seen in the springtime. Sunset Hills in Flint, Michigan has a Crack the Whip sculpture that is life-size and amazing.

Nice! We’ve got a few overlaps (especially with respects to the allegedly “most haunted” locations.) If you’re ever in Boston, you can also hit King’s Chapel and Central Burial Ground because they’re super close to Granary. (We’re talking blocks.)
Also, for New Orleans: Holt and St. Roch’s are quite visually interesting. St. Roch has an altar of prosthetic limbs left behind by visitors, and Holt has a few handmade commemorative installations that are really very sweet.

[…] I shared about five ghost stories with two focused on mausoleums (because I love a haunted mausoleum). Funny enough, both haunted mausoleums are located in Highland Lawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, IN (which I’ve added to my cemetery bucket list). […]
