Weekly Yuputka: The Willows

Yuputka (n.): the phantom sensation of something crawling on your skin.

For this week’s scary story, I thought we might read the classic novella, “The Willows” by Algernon Blackwood (1907).  The story is about two friends who ended up stranded on a canoe trip. H.P. Lovecraft believes this story is the finest supernatural tale in English literature. And that is a fine endorsement.

Luckily, Project Gutenberg has several ways to read it for free!
